The strongest fighters clash: ranking dc’s k.o. tournament powerhouses

The fate of the multiverse hangs in the balance as DC Comics prepares to unleash its highly anticipated fighting tournament. This all-new event, known as DC K.O., will pit the publisher’s most formidable heroes and villains against one another in a brutal contest where the victor will claim ultimate power.

Darkseid has returned, having ascended to an unprecedented level of might. The heroes’ sole hope lies in acquiring the Heart of Apokolips, a machine fueled by the very Omega Energy that empowers Darkseid. The individual who can seize control of the Heart will be determined through a grueling tournament. Only the strongest will survive, and among the 32 combatants, a select few possess the potential to claim the ultimate prize.

This exclusive ranking examines the fighters in the DC K.O. tournament who possess the most significant destructive capabilities. The list considers characters even if they are eliminated in the initial rounds, as the rankings are based on the competitors’ most impressive feats, rather than their progress in the tournament.

10) Firestorm: This being is a fusion of Ronnie Raymond and Professor Stein, and effectively a living nuclear reactor. Firestorm can unleash devastating nuclear blasts and absorb energy. The most formidable ability is the capacity to manipulate and transmute matter at the atomic level. However, Firestorm’s limitations lie in an inability to alter an object’s mass, restricting the extent of creations. Furthermore, the internal conflicts between Ronnie and Stein can lead to distractions, hindering the execution of more complex feats.

9) Green Lantern: Guy Gardner, out of all the Green Lanterns, is the sole representative in the tournament. Despite a reckless nature, Gardner is a formidable member of the Green Lantern Corps. His Power Ring, fueled by willpower, allows the conjuring of anything imaginable. Gardner has annihilated gigantic starships and overpowered other Green Lanterns. Moreover, he is considered one of the Corps’ best marksmen, and with constructs limited only by imagination, Guy presents as a versatile fighter.

8) Supergirl: As a Kryptonian, Supergirl possesses the same powers as Superman, including super strength, speed, flight, heat vision, and freeze breath, all amplified by yellow sunlight. Lacking Superman’s experience and raw power, Supergirl remains a strong contender. She has withstood a nuclear explosion unharmed, launched a train car into space, and destroyed a small moon. Wonder Woman and the Amazons trained her as a fighter, establishing her as one of DC Comics’ strongest heroes.

7) Power Girl: Power Girl is an alternate universe version of Supergirl, who is older, more experienced, and stronger. Her Kryptonian physiology grants the same abilities as her main universe counterpart, but Power Girl has demonstrated consistent feats of strength. She has lifted a city-sized spaceship, overpowered Supergirl, prevented the moon from being forced out of orbit, and made Darkseid bleed with a punch. She is an exceptionally tough fighter within the Superman Family.

6) Big Barda: Big Barda was raised to be the greatest warrior Apokolips ever produced. Her strength and fighting experience are unmatched among the New Gods. Even after defecting to the heroic New Gods of New Genesis, Barda maintains a hardened warrior’s physique, with strength comparable to Wonder Woman. She has withstood falls from orbit and defeated Apokolips’ elite guard simultaneously. Her equipment includes indestructible armor and the Mega-Rod, capable of teleportation and energy blasts that can destroy alien warships.

5) Lobo: Lobo, is one of the most violent beings in the universe. As a frequent Superman villain, Lobo can compress an entire city into a small ball and tow a sentient star with a chain. His arsenal includes planet-destroying weaponry. Lobo’s healing factor is nearly unparalleled, enabling regeneration from a single drop of blood. This results in duplicates just as powerful and deranged as the original. Despite his villainous tendencies, Lobo is a formidable warrior.

4) Wonder Woman: Trained by the warriors of Themyscira, Wonder Woman is the Justice League’s most skilled fighter. Her demigod physiology allows her to battle gods and Superman on equal terms. She has pulled a planet, escaped a black hole, and defeated the Justice League while blindfolded. By removing her Bracelets of Submission, her powers multiply. For the tournament, Wonder Woman will wear the God-Killer armor.

3) Captain Atom: Captain Atom’s containment suit houses a vast amount of destructive energy. As a being of pure energy, Captain Atom can tap into the Quantum Field. This connection allows for energy manipulation, and enables the transmutation of matter. He has temporarily vaporized Doctor Manhattan, survived planetary destruction, and destroyed and recreated universes.

2) Zatanna: Zatanna is one of DC Comics’ most versatile sorcerers. Zatanna’s abilities are limited only by imagination and willpower, allowing for transmutation, time manipulation, weather control, mind control, resurrection, and erasure from existence. She has manipulated the infinite multiverse to defeat villains capable of erasing all of creation.

1) Superman: Superman has the best chance to win the DC K.O. tournament. His powers are described as limitless. He has held a black hole, flown to the edge of the universe in seconds, resisted erasure from existence, and lifted a book of infinite pages. He will wield brass knuckles dotted with miniature stars, which drastically increase his strength. Superman is the multiverse’s best hope against Darkseid.
